What Steve Jobs wanted to convey was “Follow your own course and let people talk”. It’s a wise choice that believing yourself, then be yourself.

Giordano Bruno, for instance, he believed that his theory was correct paying the price of his life. His theory has gained appreciation nowadays. Without creative ideas and courage, Steve Jobs couldn’t gain a field in this competitive society.
As a graduate student, creative ideas are essential. You should have courage to doubt everything. Considering all facts and possibilities, your own judgment could be gained. Besides, you should not be subdued by others’ different opinions. The best choice is to persuade others through your studies. All in all, you are your own boss, so follow your heart and try your best to realize it. Then, you will make a difference.
